Commissioned for Vogue Gala 2024, Indigo Swan is a special edition of the Swan Chair by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen, reinterpreted by Archives Design in collaboration with Thai indigo artist Prach Niyomkar of Mann Craft.
Numbered 0056 of 1958, this 60th-anniversary edition marks the first instance of the Swan Chair rendered in natural Thai indigo. Through hand-dyeing and freehand brushwork, Niyomkar introduces a new visual and material language to the iconic form—merging Scandinavian modernism with the sensorial depth of Northern Thai craftsmanship.
